It’s rare how one card can be a power card, a finisher, a combo card for literally about any purpose you happen to need…one of the most abused cards of all time.Īrt: 5/5 I’ve never been entirely sure what the symbol is supposed to represent, as if it’s supposed to be a symbol of rebirth or revival, but the great blue background is fun. This card easily remains one of the best in the game today, and ever long. It’s cost free, it’s permanent, and I don’t see why (except in some odd Decks out there) run the 1 copy you’re allowed. Given its any Monster, from either Graveyard. There’s more ways than ever to revive Monsters from the Graveyard, this would arguably be the best. Monster Reborn had been Banned, currently legal at 1, and I get it. Reborn the Monster! I honestly see this almost as useless as our review of Pot of Greed ( link here) from 2015.īut this isn’t quite as pointless as that was, and this can be short and fun, cause obviously nobody is going to learn anything from this card. It’s a great one-of for many decks to have, more balanced than Soul Charge, but still a card with basically no downside as long as something is in the graveyard.Īrt: 5/5 It’s always going to look cool, and I can appreciate now that the TCG now has the artwork that the OCG has had for years now. Last time we looked at Monster Reborn, it was banned and I personally thought it could come back, now here we are two years later from that review and Monster Reborn is once again legal at one. It doesn’t get back Pendulums in the Extra Deck, but those are easy to get back out anyways. It has so many uses, especially since it revives literally anything that has been summoned properly and can be Special Summoned. Need the final killshot to go for game? Use Monster Reborn. Need a monster with a negation effect to add on to your other monsters with negation effects? Use Monster Reborn. Need another monster to help summon a Link with a high Link Rating, a high Level Synchro, or an Xyz? Use Monster Reborn.
It can be a combo extender, a board builder, or a game ender. It’s still my favorite card to this very day due to how versatile it is. Monster Reborn is a Normal Spell that targets a monster in either graveyard and Special Summons it. If we were dedicating three weeks for the promos, then the Throwback Thursdays would of been the God Cards, but since there’s really only enough for two weeks, we’ll look at the reprinted Spells, starting with Monster Reborn.
